A Poets and Writers Magazine for Baseball?

YES!!! Our goal is to celebrate the literary side of baseball - which is sometimes serious, sometimes fun - by searching the world for today's best writers and poets and featuring them in our magazine. If you love baseball and love to write, you have found the perfect place to explore!

One of our proudest aspects of the magazine is called the Casey Award. Every year, we compile a list of baseball books published within that year for consideration of this award. It was inaugurated in 1983 by Mike Shannon and W.J. Harrison, the editors and co-founders of Spitball, because up to that time there had never been anything specifically designated to honor the authors and publishers of outstanding baseball books.
